Gabrielle is a seasoned healthcare executive with over 30 years of experience in hospital sales and marketing across the pharmaceutical, medical device, and medical equipment sectors. Her career spans commercial leadership, strategic growth, and innovation within complex healthcare environments. She has served on the Executive Committee of a stock-exchange-listed healthcare company specialising in medical devices, vaccines, and pharmaceuticals, and contributed to industry leadership as a board member of the Generics and Biosimilar Medicines of Southern Africa (GBMSA).
For more than a decade, Gabrielle has been a trailblazer in the telehealth space, championing scalable digital primary-care models and advocating for responsible approaches to telehealth and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Her thought leadership extends into academia and policy, including co-authoring the 2025 South African Medical Journal editorial, “Building an artificial intelligence-enabled telehealth future for South Africa: The case for regulatory vision and sectoral strategy,” with Dr Marietjie Botes.
Recognised as an entrepreneur with a strong track record in launching new healthcare businesses and products in Southern Africa, Gabrielle is an influential voice shaping national conversations on digital health policy, innovation, and ethical technology deployment.
